The pitching world has been transformed by biomechanical research and data analytics. At ModernPitching, we don't just follow trends. We apply rigorously tested protocols learned at elite facilities and programs around the world, including the Florida Baseball Armory.
Our founder Scott Prins has synthesized these methods from years of playing and coaching across many different countries — the Netherlands, the U.S., Canada, Italy, and beyond. It is not one single system or culture that shaped this approach, but the sum of diverse international experiences at every level of the game.
Every aspect of our system, from arm care to velocity development, is rooted in measurable outcomes and scientific evidence, not outdated traditions or guesswork.

The Blueprint of a Delivery
Three key phases, broken down the way we analyze them in the lab — clean, technical, and measurable.

Load
The load starts the moment your leg lift peaks — and the first move is the pelvis. Biomechanics works proximal to distal: the pelvis hinges back first, then the movement flows down through the knee and the ankle. The load isn't a balance point, it's the first link of the chain.

Hinge
The hip hinge creates space and stores energy before the move down the mound. The pelvis travels first while the trunk stays organized, connecting the posterior chain to the rest of the delivery.

Arm Path
A smooth arm path isn't a shape you force — it's a sequence. The same proximal-to-distal law applies to the upper half: scap retraction leads, then the elbow, then the wrist, then the fingers. Get the order right and the path takes care of itself.
